Corned Beef and Cabbage
This corned beef takes 5.5-6 hours to make, so plan ahead. The low and slow cooking makes the meat especially tender so you don’t want to rush this one!

- Rinse the corned beef and put it in a pot and cover with water. If you have the spices from making your own corned beef, or if the store bought one had a spice packet, you can add that into the pot. Bring to a boil, cover, then turn heat down to low. Simmer for 3.5-4 hours.
- Add the carrots to the pot, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the potatoes the pot, cover and simmer for 1 hour
- Add cabbage to the pot, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve with a side of mustard.
