What’s New…
It’s been a busy summer so I have been dropping the ball when it comes to putting up new recipes. Fortunately, yesterday was a rainy gloomy day, which is a perfect day to chill at home and type up some recipes!
The first recipe I got posted (finally) is the Bourbon Blueberry Ice Cream. I think this one has been showing “coming soon” for about 6 months, so it was finally time to get this one posted! This one is a fan favorite, I make it for get togethers with friends all the time and everyone raves about it. While the flavors are fantastic, one of my favorite things about it is with the bit of bourbon in the recipe, the ice cream never gets rock hard like a lot of homemade ice creams do. So right out of the freezer this is super easy to scoop!
The next recipe I posted was inspired by the Bourbon Blueberry Ice Cream, the Blackberry Bourbon Cheesecake Ice Cream! This one is a bit more work than the blueberry since you need to strain the blackberries to remove the seeds, however I think the flavors are a bit better in this one so it’s worth the extra steps!
Finally, the last recipe I got posted is the Roasted Tomato Basil Soup! This is a great summer recipe, and I typically use a lot more basil than the recipe calls for since I absolutely love the flavor. This soup plus a side salad with some fresh veggies and fruit and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar make a great meal!
One other thing I’ve been slowly doing is putting printable recipes on each recipe page. I’ve only done a few of the newer ones so far, but I am working on them so keep an eye out!
